Manufacturing with Heart: BETTEX Supports Shishu Polli Plus's Charity Tote Bag Initiative

Home 2026-07-23

BETTEX has partnered with Shishu Polli Plus, a Bangladeshi NGO, to provide free professional manufacturing support for its charity tote bag project. The collaboration pairs BETTEX's manufacturing expertise with local charitable work, bringing real, lasting help to vulnerable single mothers and children across Bangladesh.

Founded in 1989, Shishu Polli Plus runs safe shelters for impoverished single mothers and their children. Beyond covering daily needs and providing secure, nurturing homes, the NGO delivers vocational training programmes. These courses give women the skills to build independent, stable lives for their families and break cycles of poverty that pass from one generation to the next.

As part of its fundraising efforts, Shishu Polli Plus launched a custom tote bag project. The bags will be sold across the UK, with all proceeds going back into the organisation's support services for mothers and children in need.

With limited in-house production capacity, the charity struggled to fulfil the bulk order within the required timeline. Most commercial manufacturers turned the project down, citing tight deadlines and thin margins on charity orders. When BETTEX learned of the situation, the team stepped in with its full capabilities in product development, craftsmanship, quality assurance and delivery management at the BETTEX Premium facility. BETTEX supplied manufacturing resources at no cost and completed the entire order on schedule.

During production, Mrs. Pat, founder of Shishu Polli Plus, visited the BETTEX Premium factory. She praised the team's professionalism and its support for the initiative, and held a detailed discussion with BETTEX representatives about the current partnership and possible long-term projects ahead.

BETTEX’s relationship with Shishu Polli Plus goes beyond this single order. It began last year December, when a team of Chinese investors and delegators, led by Chairman Frank Yi, visited the Shishu Polli Plus facility in Dhaka. The team spend meaningful quality time with the children and learn firsthand how the organisation operates. The team committed to exploring future collaboration, support, and sustainable community development.

This project reflects BETTEX's commitment to putting its industrial resources toward the communities around it, with thanks to Chairman Frank Yi and BETTEX Premium factory head Owen for their support. The collaboration has strengthened the bond between BETTEX and Shishu Polli Plus, and the brand looks forward to continuing this work, helping vulnerable women and children build stable incomes and break cycles of poverty in Bangladesh.
